Sterling Everett, a native of Sandersville, Georgia, studied art under Ezra
Sellers at Young Harris College in Georgia. He received a B.B.A. in Art from
Georgia College in Milledgeville, Georgia. Beginning his career in Macon,
Georgia, Everett's style and versatility have gained him national recognition.
Everett, an avowed historian and preservationist, reflects his love and
appreciation for classical architecture in many of his works in watercolors,
oils and pen and ink. Everett's current residence in Macon, Georgia, was built
in 1912 by the architect Neel Reid. From 1986 to 1990, Everett's career took
him to Maryland's Catoctin mountains near Camp David, an area rich in history
and beauty where he owned and restored a home built circa 1790.
Everett's works can be found in many private collections including those of Ex-President Jimmy and Mrs. Carter, the Lyndon Johnsons, Ex-President and Mrs. Reagan and Georgia's house whip Denmark Groover, deceased. Larger Corporate collectors include YKK Corporation of America with whom he is creating the 21st year holiday card and print series, Citizen's Bank of Washington County, Brown & Williamson Tobacco Company, Charter Medical Corporation, and Georgia Power, Hagerstown Trust Company and CitiCorp.
